Ybor is platform engineering, built by platform engineers.
We started Ybor because every enterprise platform team we'd worked on was solving the same problems, and rebuilding the same plumbing every two years. We're building the platform we wished we had.
Why Ybor exists.
Enterprises don't lack engineers. They lack a platform that lets those engineers ship without negotiating Kubernetes, multi-cloud, and compliance from scratch every time.
We build the layer in between: a layered object model, operators that reconcile it, and an addon catalog that runs on every cluster. You keep your source code, your clusters, and your data.
We're not building another dashboard. We're building the backend a platform team can defend in a board meeting, and extend on their own terms.
The team building it.
We're a small team of platform engineers, SREs, and designers who have run the platform teams we're now building for. We've felt the pain of rebuilding the same plumbing every two years. Ybor is the backend we wished we had.
We keep teams small, so the person who builds a thing is the one who runs it. We're not hiring right now, but we're always glad to hear from people who've felt the pain firsthand. See Careers.
How we work.
Direct
We say the thing. No marketing varnish, no buried lede. If a sentence could run on any competitor's site, we rewrite it.
Specific
Every claim hands you the receipt. We name the tools, the controls, and the trade-offs, because our buyers are engineers.
Builder-to-builder
We sound like engineers talking to engineers. We've run the platform teams we're building for.
Confident, not boastful
Calm and security-aware. We don't oversell. The architecture does the talking.
Restrained
We ship less, better. One thousand no's for every yes, in the product and the platform.
Iterative
We release by release, not big-bang. The platform, and this company, gets better every commit.
Built on open source. Members of it.
